Meet some of our Mentors

Hi! I'm Kirsty

I am a passionate student studying Science and Secondary Education at Monash University. At school my teachers had a positive influence in my life. What they did for me inspired me  to work towards becoming a teacher who makes a real difference to their student’s lives and in the education system.

I believe that education is a broad and complex area where integrative approaches work best to foster learning and enrichment.

I look forward to expanding my experience as an educator while facilitating growth and learning in my students.

I strive to be a reliable, understanding and supportive person who values honesty and integrity. These values have been central to helping me through moving from North East Victoria to study.

Hi! I'm Anna

I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Japanese Studies at Monash University.

I love to teach because I love helping and supporting others. I started tutoring by helping a lot of my friends excel in Year 12 (becoming their unofficial tutor), and i've been tutoring ever since. Another reason I teach is to revise and strengthen my own knowledge and understanding of concepts and ideas. This has the added benefit of making me an even better  teacher!

My hobbies vary between origami, watching documentaries and interesting videos on YouTube, and reading.

As your mentor, I start by understanding how you like to learn and go from there! By taking into consideration how you learn, I can ensure you get the most out of our sessions and your own study time!

I can help with:

  • VCE English

  • VCE English Literature

  • VCE Legal Studies

  • VCE Psychology

  • English (Upto Year 10)

Hi! I'm Yashima

I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Law (Honors)/ Bachelor of Science at Monash University. My journey through VCE and university has helped me learn how to approach any situation in a mature and efficient manner, as well as constructively manage stressful situations.

As your mentor I would start by understanding how you learn, we would then work together to develop strategies that can best support your learning and development. My experience as a tutor has helped me refine how I teach; I patiently and clearly explain concepts using methods that work for you.

During my down time, I enjoy diving into a dense novel, short story or poetry, I am also a bit of cinephile, making it impossible for people who just want to enjoy a film in peace without the analysis! I've also recently spent three months abroad, for the Prato Law Program, which allowed me to travel across Europe, experience local life in Florence, and being a foodie, indulge in a lot of pizza, pasta and gelato.

I can help with:

  • VCE English

  • VCE Biology

  • VCE Legal Studies

  • Science (Upto Year 10)
